As 2025 comes to a close, we’re celebrating a year of meaningful growth at Leading Home Care—growth that helps us show up stronger for the people who count on us every day. From expanding our offices to investing in our team and giving back across Louisiana, every milestone this year was driven by one purpose: to better serve you and your family at home.

Here’s a look at what we accomplished together in 2025.

Growth That Helps Us Serve More People

This year, we strengthened our care teams and expanded services to meet the needs of more Louisianans—including older adults and individuals with disabilities.

• 19.6% increase in clients shows that more families are choosing—and trusting—Leading Home Care for in-home support.
• 16.4% increase in caregivers (DSWs) means we’re continuing to grow our care teams to meet those needs with consistency and quality.
• We reached our company growth target for billable hours, helping us continue delivering reliable care statewide

These numbers represent more than growth—they reflect more people supported, more families reassured, and more care delivered where it matters most.

Expanding Our Louisiana Footprint

To serve our communities more effectively, we continued improving access to our services and support.

• Opened a new office in Zachary
• Moved two office locations to better serve the surrounding areas (Opelousas and Deridder)

Investing in Our People

The heart of Leading Home Care is our team—and in 2025, we focused on creating more opportunities for growth and advancement.

• Administrative staff grew 9.6%, strengthening support systems that help care run smoothly.
• 15 admin employees transferred or were promoted, building experienced leadership from within.
• 9 DSWs were promoted into administrative roles, bringing real frontline insight into leadership decisions.
• Hosted 7 interns (2 became permanent team members), helping grow our workforce for the future.
• Recognized 146 employees for milestone anniversaries, celebrating the consistency and continuity that clients count on.

Building Community & Giving Back

Care is more than a service—it’s connection, belonging, and showing up for the communities we call home.

In 2025, we celebrated creativity, talent, and togetherness through events like Festival de Success, which honors the abilities and talents of individuals with disabilities, and St. Pierre’s Art of Belonging show. We also supported our team through programs like Cuts for Kids, providing back-to-school haircuts for the children of our staff, and our Annual Backpack Drive, where we distributed over 1,000 supply-filled backpacks to help our workers’ families start the school year strong.

We were proud to support community partners doing life-changing work, including:
Healing House, Acadiana Center for the Arts, Hopefest, Ush One See, Train Unique, The DREAMS Foundation, and Miles Perret Cancer Center.

Through the Randon Costello Scholarship, we have awarded more than $100,000 to 33 students—the children of our Direct Support Workers—because when we support our caregivers, we support their families as well. Created in loving memory of Randon, the late daughter of owner Josette Smalling, this scholarship carries her legacy forward by opening doors for others. It is truly a beautiful gift.

Awards, Recognition & Sharing Our Story

We’re honored that our work—and the dedication of our teams—was recognized across Louisiana this year. In 2025, Leading Home Care was named a Gold Winner in both Acadiana’s Choice Awards and the Shreveport-Bossier Choice Awards.

We’re also proud that our Crowley office received the Best Home Health Care Service Award, based on verified data from Google Reviews analyzed by BusinessRate, and that our Hammond office ranked Top 10 in the same category in Tangipahoa parish.

And this year, we didn’t just grow in services—we grew in connection, specifically online. We welcomed 742 new followers, earned 17,000+ reactions and 2,785 comments, and reached 3.4 million views, helping us connect with even more families across Louisiana.

Every like, comment, and share helped us build relationships, celebrate our team, and reach more families who may need support.
